Authors of the paper conclude that although various significant improvements have been made, including the increase of PE value of interventional pain management from $59.04 to $156.79 per hour, reductions in MEI and reductions in add-on codes present some disadvantages.

The study also includes a list of the top 30 interventional procedures. Each procedure is listed with their respective CPT codes, 2010 fee schedules for office-based and ASC/hospital-based procedures and 2011 fee schedules for office-based and ASC/hospital-based procedures.
