Emergency medicine is the physician specialty reporting the most burnout, according to Medscape's 2021 "Physician Burnout & Depression Report" released Jan. 21.

Baltimore and Boston have been consistently ranked as some of the worst cities for physician pay.

Charlotte, N.C., and Milwaukee are consistently ranked in the top five cities for physician compensation in the last five years.
