Kamal Moorjani, who worked at Amethyst Pharmacy in Jersey City, N.J., pleaded guilty to accusations that he had billed Medicaid more than $1,200 for prescriptions he never dispensed between Jan. 1, 2009, and Jan. 27, 2009, according to the report.
In addition to his prison sentence, Mr. Moojani’s pharmaceutical license has been suspended, and he was ordered to pay $1,289 in restitution to the Medicaid program and $10,000 to the Jersey City police, according to the report.
