The program includes tools and resources that are specifically targeted for ambulatory surgery centers. In addition to existing suppliers and distributors, the Surgery Center Solutions program features a partnership with Owens and Minor and Henry Schein, who have customized their agreements for the surgery center market.
The services include access to 95 percent of the purchases that facilities make (most at a reduced cost), savings of up to 10 percent or more on pharmacy purchases, a 24-hour distribution system with a 99 percent fill rate and a 99.9 percent accuracy rate, technology solutions for managing inventory and access to Amerinet’s "voice of the customer" communications, which encourage feedback in developing programs and services, according to the release.
"Surgery centers are among the most unique and fastest growing segments of the healthcare market," said Randy Walter, Amerinet’s executive vice president of contracting, enterprise solutions, Inquisit and marketing, in the release. "We felt it was imperative to enhance our program specifically for this market, focusing on their needs to reduce costs and improve quality."
