Owens & Minor Reports Increased Revenue in First Quarter

Owens & Minor reported a 7.8% increase in revenue and a 3.3 percent increase in profit in the third quarter ending March 31, compared to the same quarter the year before, according to a company release.

Operating earnings for the quarter increased 3.8 percent to $51 million as a result of greater distribution and fee-for-service revenues.

The distributor of medical and surgical products also reiterated its financial outlook for fiscal year 2011, targeting revenue growth of 3 to 5 percent compared to 2010.
