Mark Pelletier Named COO of Joint Commission’s Division of Accreditation and Certification Operations

The Joint Commission has named Mark Pelletier acting COO for the Division of Accreditation and Certification Operations.

In addition to having oversight of all accreditation and certification operational activities, Mr. Pelletier will retain his role as the executive director of the Hospital Accreditation Program. A national search will be conducted for the permanent COO later this year.

Mr. Pelletier joined The Joint Commission in 2009 as the executive director for Hospital Programs and Accreditation and Certification Services. He has more than 20 years of experience in hospital operations, performance and quality improvement process redesign and program development.
