Republican Dr. Hayworth defeated two-term Democratic Rep. John Hall.
Dr. Hayworth is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton and was top of her class at Cornell University Medical College. She practiced ophthalmology for approximately 15 years both in solo practice and part of a large multispecialty group, which included her working at and being a shareholder in an ASC. Her husband, Scott D. Hayworth, MD, FACOG, is president and CEO of Mount Kisco Medical Group.
