Olympus Launches New Peracetic Acid Solution for High-Level Disinfection

Olympus has announced the release of Acecide-C, a new, peracetic acid-based high-level disinfectant and sterilant, according to a news release from Olympus.

Acecide-C High-Level Disinfectant and Sterilant is an aldehyde-free, liquid chemical germicide designed for use in the Olympus Endoscope Reprocessor, the OER-Pro.

 

The peracetic acid solution was co-developed by Olympus and Saraya Co. (manufactured by Best Sanitizers).

“Superior infection control solutions are of the utmost importance in the healthcare industry,” said Rick Harbuck, group vice president, endoscopy division for Olympus America, in the release. “The introduction of Acecide-C provides our OER-Pro customers with another fast and effective option to meet their reprocessing needs while protecting their valuable equipment.
