Ohio Hospital Opens New Surgery Center

Salem (Ohio) Community Hospital recently opened a new $19 million surgery center, according to a report in the Salem News.

The new surgery center features seven operating rooms including an orthopedic suite, which is outfitted to accommodate the surgical equipment needed for procedures such as hip and knee replacements, according to the report.

Physicians at the center will perform a variety of outpatient procedures in a number of specialties including general surgery, gynecology, gastroenterology, laparoscopy, urology, orthopedic, ophthalmology, urology and vascular surgery.
