NJAASC to hold one room educational event

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgical Centers has announced it will hold an all day, special education event for one room surgical centers in New Jersey.

The One Room Licensure Law passed in January mandates that all registered surgical practices (one rooms) in New Jersey must be licensed or have their application for licensure into the New Jersey Department of Health by January 2019.

“We feel it is our duty to the surgical practices in the state to make sure they understand exactly what they need to do, to be able to pass licensure inspection and survey,” said Jeff Shanton, president, NJAASC.

“We can think of no better way then to hold an educational event for these centers, so that they can hear first hand from various experts exactly what they need to do, and what they should expect. Our licensed member centers in particular have a vast reservoir of knowledge that can be passed along to the one rooms. This practical experience is extremely important in my opinion,” continued Mr. Shanton

All centers in New Jersey are invited to attend this event Sept. 12 at Galloping Hills Country Club in Kenilworth, N.J.
