Oswego Hospital voluntarily contacted HHS and the state Medicaid program in March 2008 when it was discovered that a number of the hospital’s business transactions from 2002 to 2007 may not have complied with Stark Law, according to the report.
No specific details on the hospitals’ specific transactions with physicians that may have violated the law were given.
The hospital has since implemented policies and procedures to ensure that all hospital transactions comply with Stark Law.
