Mr. Montague, who has a history as a healthcare executive at six other VA hospitals, will replace Dayton VA’s former director, who was reassigned after a probe at a hospital dental clinic. The probe led to testing more than 500 veterans for bloodborne infection, such as HIV and hepatitis, according to the news report.
Mr. Montague’s initiatives include rebuilding veterans’ confidence in VA hospitals’ ability to provide high-quality care. He also hopes to increase the number of veterans receiving care at Dayton VA and facility renovations, according to the news report.
