New Surgery Pavilion to Open in Riverhead, N.Y.

A new surgery pavilion at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, N.Y., is scheduled to open on Apr. 17, according to a report by The Southampton Press.

The new pavilion will have five operating rooms that will feature air vents that create an "invisible wall" that prevents bacteria from spreading from room to room, according to the report.

The construction of the new surgical pavilion is part of a $50 million renovation project at Peconic Bay.
