New Portable Room Divider Isolates Non-Airborn Infections

A new portable room divider for hospitals and other providers allows patients with non-airborne infections to be isolated in the same room with other patients, according to a MedGadget report.

The KwickScreen, designed in England, uses glass fiber tube technology developed by NASA to provide both rigidity and flexibility.

 

The new screen also acts as a visual trigger, encouraging staff and visitors to adhere to the correct infection control procedures when visiting the patient.
