1. More New Mexico healthcare providers received flu vaccinations, at 82.4 percent in 2014 to 2015. This preventative action keeps staff and patients safer.
2. In 2014, 24 New Mexico hospitals demonstrated 61 percent fewer facility-wide onset bloodstream infections than they predicted from a baseline.
3. The hospital non-intensive care units had 63 percent fewer central line-associated bloodstream infections than predicted.
4. The adult and pediatric intensive are units had 39 percent fewer central line-associated bloodstream infections than predicted.
5. The New Mexico Healthcare-associated Infections Advisory Committee releases annual reports in hopes of improving patient safety.
