Olasehmdeme “Isaac” Arowosaye, owner and operator of Be Kind Health Care Services, pleaded guilty to submitting fraudulent claims to Medicaid for personal care assistance services that were never provided between July 2005 and April 2008.
The investigation also revealed that he and his wife, Emily Arowosaye, vice president and nurse supervisor at Be Kind, overbilled Medicaid for services purportedly provided during weekend hours or that were medically unnecessary and submitting claims with forged physicians’ signatures. They also billed for services for patients who were dead or in hospitals at the time the company claimed to have provided services.
Sentencing has been scheduled for Sept. 13.
