New England and Great Lakes regions best at HEDIS Quality measures: 3 takeaways

According to the 2016 Health Insurance Plan Rankings, the New England and Great Lakes regions had the majority of states receiving the highest scores when it came to HEDIS quality measures, HealthPayer Intelligence reports.

Consumer satisfaction, prevention and treatment standards were all surveyed.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Maine, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Vermont and New York all received either 4.5 or 5 on the 5-point survey. Hawaii and Iowa also had high scores.

2. Only 3 percent of all states had either 1.5 to 2.

3. More than 1,000 health plans throughout the nation were surveyed.
