Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, also in Los Angeles, reported four patients have been infected with CRE following ERCP performed with duodenoscopes, according to a TriCities report. The medical center stopped performing after the UCLA outbreak was reported and launched an investigation, according the report. The hospital found CRE may have been transmitted during procedures performed between August and January.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed five patients were infected with CRE in a 2013 outbreak at a medical facility in the state, according to an Aljazeera America report.

Both medical centers believe the infections may have been transmitted during procedures performed with Olympus scopes, according to the TriCites and Aljazeera America reports.

Additionally, Hartford (Conn.) Hospital reached out to 281 patients who may have been exposed to a strain of drug-resistant E. coli, transmitted via duodenoscope, according to a Hartford Courant report.
