The combined groups polled 1,850 adults.
Here’s what you should know.
1. Democrats and Independents favor single-payer legislation at 74 percent and 54 percent, respectively, while only 16 percent of Republicans prefer single payer.
2. Among people who have attended a protest or rally concerning the ACA, 79 percent preferred a single-payer plan. Of this same group, 85 percent said they also support the ACA.
3. The results echo a Kaiser Family Foundation poll conducted last summer, which found 53 percent of respondents supported a single-payer health plan.
