New Gas Connector Reduces Risk of Misconnection

A new hybrid connecter for electrical and gas connections on surgical tools and other equipment reduces the risk of a misconnections, according to a report by MedGadget.

The Mini Hybrid Connector from St. Paul, Minn.-based Colder fits all wires and air lines into one connector, matching the right gas with the right equipment.

 

The standard set comes with a panel mount socket and a connector with an umbilical hose containing an air tube, multiple wires and two electrical contacts.
