Michigan Health System Opens Outpatient Surgery, Cancer Center

St. Joseph Mercy Health System is opening an outpatient surgery and cancer center at St. Joseph Mercy Canton (Mich.) Health Center, according to a report by Crain’s Detroit Business.

The 53,000-square-foot Center for Advanced Medicine and Surgery will begin treating patients in December.

The center will feature the RapidArc linear accelerator, a state-of-the-art technology for radiation oncology treatment, and will be the only healthcare provider in Southeast Michigan to offer the technology, according to the report.
