Mr. Patterson was most recently vice president of hospital operations at Trinity Regional Health System, based in Rock Island, Ill. He previously oversaw a surgery center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He will begin his position at Mississippi Valley Surgery Center on Jan. 3.
