Mexican Company Acquires Assets of Medical Imaging System Maker Naviscan

The assets of San Diego-based Naviscan, a maker of high-resolution medical images, have been acquired by Compañía Mexicana de Radiología SA de CV or CMR, a Mexican medical device company, according to a U-T San Diego report.

Naviscan focused on the manufacture of positron emission imaging systems, an alternative to X-ray imaging.

Naviscan has been closed. However, CMR will continue manufacturing in San Diego through its established subsidiary, according to the report.
