Medtronic Purchases Disease Management Company Cardiocom for $200M

Medtronic has purchased disease management and patient monitoring firm Cardiocom for $200M, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

With the acquisition, Minneapolis-based medical device manufacturer will move into the business of working with hospitals to reduce chronic disease patient care costs.
