Mednet has designed and built MIRA specifically
for the ASC market, though it can also be implemented in the physician or
surgical hospital environment. This Web-based application works as a stand
alone tool with your existing management application or fully integrates into
the soon to be launched comprehensive ASC management application OASIS (Online
Ambulatory Surgical Information Systems).
“Increase in cost of medical care and decrease in
reimbursement is squeezing the margins out of ASCs,” says Raj Tuli, CEO and
managing director of Mednet. “Mednet has introduced this application just
at the right time and we need to create awareness for such tools.”
Features of MIRA
include perpetual and just-in-time inventory, EDI, barcode, case costing, user
alerts and a wide range of reports.
“The days are over where ASCs needed their inventory
management application just to run their manual ordering process,” says Andre
Phipps, director of product development for Mednet. “We need intellectual
tools that will help us streamline our purchasing process with checks and
balances in place, helping us better manage our cost of supplies.”
