Safely reduce hospital readmissions
To help nursing facilities reduce avoidable hospital readmissions, Medline is offering two resources:
• Interventions to Reduce Acute Care Transfers. Under a partnership with Florida Atlantic University, Medline offers training on FAU’s INTERACT quality improvement program through Medline University.
• abaqis readmissions tracker. Medline enables skilled nursing facilities to track rates of readmissions through the abaqis Quality Management System, which also allows comparisons between facilities or groups.
Improve staff stability
To reduce turnover and improve job satisfaction of certified nursing assistants, Medline has partnered with the National Association of Health Care Assistants, which has helped member facilities increase CNA retention.
Increase customer satisfaction
To increase customer recommendation rates, Medline offers a customer satisfaction module through abaqis Quality Management System, which provides data to compare performance across facilities.
Safely reduce the off-label use of antipsychotics
To reduce the use of antipsychotics and their potentially negative side effects, Medline offers a free online educational resource, Medline University, which includes skilled nursing facility staff CE-accredited courses on how to care for residents with dementia without the use of medication.
