Medline has acquired the manufacturing and laboratory assets of, and assumed the lease on, Perrigo’s Lake Worth, Fla., plant.
Medline will use the plant to manufacture personal hygiene products, including enemas, douche and oral saline laxatives. These products will be manufactured for Medline’s retail channel under the Curad brand, as well as on a private label basis.
“Through this acquisition, as well with the recent launch of innovative products like the Curad BioMask, Medline is strengthening our growing position in the retail market and expanding the Curad portfolio to meet the growing needs of retailers and consumers,” said Medline’s CEO Charlie Mills, in the release.
Medline Industries is headquartered in Mundelein, Ill., while Perrigo Co. is headquartered in Allegan, Mich.
