Medical/Surgical Hospitals to Meet Additional Joint Commission Requirements

General medical/surgical hospitals will have to meet two new performance measure sets as of Jan. 1, 2014, according to a Joint Commission news release.

The additional requirements are part of The Joint Commission’s ORYX performance measurement initiative to stimulate and guide quality improvement efforts.
