Here are five takeaways:

2. The app received the information from Continuity of Care documents on patient portals.
3. Patients can view laboratory results, immunizations, medical lists, allergies and appointments.
4. Although intended for patients, physicians may find the app useful to pull patients’ recent medical activity that has not yet been transferred.
5. Medfusion Plus offers an application programming interface.
“We believe patients should play a more significant role in their care, and the only way they can optimize the quality and efficiency of that care is to have a total, accurate view of their medical records right in the palms of their hands,” said Chris Fierer, director of innovation and Medfusion Plus solution manager.
