In a survey conducted by MassMEDIC, over 80 percent of medical device executives surveyed said they were likely to take cost-reduction measures to decrease operating expenses, including eliminating jobs. Executives also said they would consider passing the cost of the tax on to customers or reducing the cost of goods sold, according to the report.

At least half of the respondents to the survey said they would try to protect research and development from cuts, according to the report.
