Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Md., has announced that it will relocate all surgeries performed in its Dixon Ambulatory Care Center to the hospital’s newly renovated surgery facilities beginning July 1, according to a report in the Carroll County Times.
The move is a result of cost-saving efforts by the hospital. The hospital plans to use the space formerly occupied by the surgery center to expand other hospital programs.
The surgery center currently performs about 77 surgeries per week, according to the report.
