Physicians practicing in the centers must be licensed, but current regulations don’t require the facility licensure as an ambulatory surgery center.

Legislation has been introduced in the Maryland legislature that increase oversight on cosmetic plastic surgery centers, according to a report from The Baltimore Sun.
