Louisiana Hospital Spends $28 Million on New Property, Acquires Two Surgery Centers

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOL) in Baton Rouge, La., purchased 60 acres and two former outpatient surgery center for $28 million, according to The Advocate.

The undeveloped 60-acre tract was $15.2 million and the outpatient surgery clinics, formerly property of Surgi-Center LP, were $4.76 million.

The hospital has not yet decided how to use these acquired properties, but officials, according to The Advocate report, have stated that they will not be reopening the outpatient clinics as OLOL owns an outpatient center and performs outpatient procedures at the hospital.
