FDA Launches Website on Safe Disposal of Used Needles and Other “Sharps”

The FDA announced the launch of a new website for patients and caregivers on the safe disposal of needles and other sharps, such as syringes, lancets and auto injectors, according to an FDA news release.

The aim of the site is to educate people on the proper disposal of sharps and the public health risks created by improper disposal.
