ASCA Publishes ASC Briefs for Advocates, Policymakers

The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association has published three ASC briefs for use by ASC advocates, policymakers, the media and others, according to an ASCA release.

The first three briefs will be titled “About ASCs,” “Physician Ownership” and “ASCs — A Commitment to Quality.” The three briefs will be the first in an ongoing series designed to promote a better understanding of the ASC community and its contributions, as well as ASCA’s various policy concerns and objectives.

“About ASCs” will provide a general overview of ASCs and the role they play in healthcare; “Physician Ownership” will address the benefits of physician ownership and “Commitment to Quality” will discuss ASCs’ commitment to providing high-quality patient care, according to the release.
