The gown, with the updated labeling, is now available in select locations and is expected to be available to the complete market by the end of the year, according to a news release.
The single-use gown is designed to help prevent blood and other bodily fluids from penetrating through to the clinician’s skin during procedures. It uses adhesive laminate technology and a microporous fabric.
The AAMI Standard is a system of liquid barrier performance classification for protective apparel. Gowns with a level four classification indicate they provide the highest liquid barrier protection defined by the AAMI Standard.
