Since Attorney General Steve Six took office in 2008, twice as much was recovered in Medicaid fraud and abuse as was recovered in all previous years combined: $46.06 million compared to $21.93 million.

“All states fund their Medicaid fraud units with federal grants, and Kansas recovered $18.85 per federal dollar received in 2009,” said Mr. Six. “This makes Kansas the third most efficient state in the nation.”
