On Dec. 1, the New York state Department of Health issued a final approval for Kaleida Health to open a new ASC in Buffalo, The Southtowns Ambulatory Surgery Center, according to Buffalo Business First.
Here are four highlights:
1. The state Department of Health assigned a completion date of July 31, 2016.
2. Construction is underway and is set to be completed by late April.
3. The 16,000-square-foot facility is valued at $2.7 million.
4. The multi-specialty center is a collaborative effort between Kaleida, the University at Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and two dozen surgeons.
