The suit is led by Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum. The 19 other attorneys general represent mostly Republican states. The suit claims that the recent healthcare reform law violates state government rights in the U.S. Constitution. Arguments have been scheduled for Dec. 16.
The judge has yet to formally rule on a dismissal motion made by President Obama’s administration, but Attorney General McCollum said the scheduling of arguments means the case will proceed.
