Johns Hopkins Researchers Making Material to Restore Damaged Soft Tissue

A new liquid composite of biological and synthetic molecules under development could be used to restore damaged soft tissue, according to a release by Johns Hopkins University.

The material, still in early experiments in rats and humans at Johns Hopkins, is injected under the skin, and then is set into a more solid form by using light rays.

 

Researchers said the biological component promotes compatibility with the body and the synthetic component enhances durability.
