Job Opening: Senior Director of Managed Care for Surgical Care Affiliates

Surgical Care Affiliates is seeking a Senior Director of Managed Care to provide comprehensive commercial contracting and reimbursement support to SVP of Operations and the corresponding group of ASCs he/she manages. This position reports to the Group Vice President. Key Responsibilities:

· Lead Manager(s) of Managed Care in all aspects of commercial contracting for a defined number of ASCs
· Provide strategic direction to SVP of Field Operations around reimbursement strategies, fee schedule management, payor contracting, etc.
· Proactively pursue revenue optimization strategies in concert with Field Operations
· Effectively and frequently communicate goals, progress, and results to Group Vice President and Field Operations

Requirements:

· Travel to payor meetings, company meetings, center visits, etc. (30%)
· Extensive knowledge of payor contracting and payment systems
· Understanding of the basic operation of an ASC
· Understanding of ASC profit and loss statement
· Ability to heavily leverage data but also translate into understandable action plans for Field Operations

Total education, vocational training and experience:

· College Degree
· MHA or MPH desired
· ASC operations experience a plus
· 10+ years payor contracting/reimbursement experience in the ASC industry
