Duties/Responsibilities:
• Supervise all ASC credentialing processes for NovaMed and for pending acquisitions.
• Develop and implement new policies and procedures as needed to ensure compliance with Medicare, State and accreditation bodies.
• Respond to inquiries related to clinical, regulatory, compliance and accreditation issues from all levels of the company.
• Facilitate and coordinate accreditation processes to ensure satisfactory completion and to improve compliance.
• Seek methods to improve current facility practices/processes by identifying problems and proposing solutions, as necessary.
• Review and follow up as needed, all Corrective Action Plans from internal chart audits.
• Act as liaison on behalf of NovaMed with AAAHC and JCAHO and stay current with their standards of care.
• Keep abreast of current regulatory and compliance issues.
• Manage the bylaw process.
• Serve as liaison between NovaMed and the ASC Association for industry inquiries, providing current information about NovaMed. Review corporate summaries of Outcomes Monitoring Project Reports and take follow up action as needed.
• Coordination and training of new ASC director orientations and ongoing clinical training as needed
• Resource for guidance and assistance with clinical questions, including CQI, policy and procedure development, outcomes monitoring, etc.
• Work collaboratively with corporate staff, physicians, risk management and other corporate leaders to address performance improvement and safety issues.
• Acts as a quality resource to the ASC’s and corporate leaders.
• Responsible for Governance issues including policy and procedure development and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s of Nursing required; higher education desirable
Experience: Seasoned manager with a working knowledge of regulatory standards, team development, clinical services and credentialing. Previous ASC experience a plus. Knowledge of performance improvement principles.
Highly developed organizational, interpersonal and management skills. Strong skills in oral and written communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
