Job Opening: ASC Administrator for Southern California ASC

The ASC Administrator, who reports to the director of operations, will manage and direct the day to day operations of this new free-standing multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. The center has four ORs/three procedure rooms. It is projected to do approximately 3800+ procedures the first year. There are two direct reports. The FTEs will reach 20 by the end of 2010. They have 20 Physician Partners. Procedures: Dermatology; Gen Surg; GI; Ortho; Plastic; ENT; Gyn; Oto; Podiatry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all aspects of Human Resources,
  • Directs and supervises Surgery Center personnel on a daily basis.
  • Working along side of the Medical Director to determines clinical goals
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining a quality improvement process.
  • Responsible for and manages all facets of accounting
  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to achieve best practice benchmarks.
  • Responsible for compliance with regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Assures quality patient care and a positive work environment.
  • Manages along with the Director of Operations all third-party payer contracting
  • Responsible for assuring compliance with legal and regulatory issues i.e. AAAHC, Medicare and state department of health.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Operations, develops, implements, and provides progress reports on a marketing plan for physician recruitment and retention.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to interact with employees, clients, vendors, and corporate staff in a professional manner
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead individuals and teams to accomplish common goals
  • Previous startup or construction experience a plus

 

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required, MHA, MBA, or MSN preferred

Minimum of three years experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting
