New Website Ranks Maine Healthcare Providers Based on Quality of Care

The Maine Health Management Coalition, an organization made up of employers, hospitals, health insurers and physician groups, has launched a new website that allows consumers to view and compare healthcare providers based on specific areas of care, according to a WCSH6 news report.

GetBetterMaine uses data voluntarily submitted by all Maine hospitals and approximately 60 percent of private practitioners, according to the news report. Consumers are able to see how often providers offer the care recommended by experts for certain conditions. The website only lists conditions “for which there is a national consensus on how care should be delivered” and will later include data for cost comparison.
