In Event of Government Shutdown, CMS Website Will Not be Available

CMS has issued a statement saying that in the event of a government shutdown its website will not be accessible.

The statement is as follows:

“Please be advised that in the event of a Federal Government shutdown on Friday, April 8, 2011, the CMS.gov website will not be live. This includes the Medicare Coverage Database which means that no public comments may be submitted on any of the open national coverage analyses.

The upcoming Wednesday, May 11, 2011 MEDCAC Meeting may be rescheduled.”
