Report: 11.1% Increase in New Jersey CABG Surgery Infection Rate 2008-2009

Although New Jersey saw a decrease in mortality rate for coronary artery bypass graft surgery from 2008 to 2009, the rate of infection increased 11.1 percent, according to a New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services report (pdf).

The report, “Cardiac Surgery in New Jersey,” provides data on 4,497 patients who had CABG surgery in New Jersey in 2009.
