How much did PAs make in 2018?

The average yearly base salary for physician assistants is $106,000, according to the 2019 salary report from the American Academy of PAs.

The AAPA surveyed 13,088 physician assistants to compile the report.

Three details to know:

1. Physician assistants who work in emergency medicine earn the most out of any specialty at $116,964.

2. Pay increased 1 percent compared to last year’s report, which showed physician assistants earned $105,000.

3. Half of physician assistants working full time received a bonus, reporting it was $5,500 or more.
