Eighteen grants for a total of $22.6 million will support EHR implementation; four grants totaling more than $2.6 million will help with other IT implementations, such as health information exchanges, and another five grants totaling over $2.5 million will help health centers plan to use existing EHRs to improve health outcomes.
The funds were designated by the stimulus package, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
