HFAP Awards Accreditation to Laboratory of Richland Memorial Hospital in Illinois

The laboratory of Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Ill., has earned accreditation from Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, according to an HFAP blog entry.

The laboratory was granted two-year accreditation when it was found to meet the standards for accreditation in the areas of microbiology, diagnostic immunology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology and pathology.

 

“I’m very pleased with the outcome and with the labs performance. It takes everyone’s combined efforts to be successful,” said Carl Waggle, director of laboratory services for RMH, according to the post. “I would just like to congratulate the staff on the outstanding report.”
