Glaucoma Research Foundation Marks January as Glaucoma Awareness Month

The Glaucoma Research Foundation has named January as Glaucoma Awareness Month, according to the GRF.

Glaucoma is the leading cause of preventable blindness and affects more than 4 million Americans, according to the GRF.

During the month of January, the GRF is asking healthcare providers and others to talk to patients and friends about the disease, request educational materials on the disease and encourage diagnostic testing.
